Knives Out

Anton just left after watching Knives Out and also Home Alone. 2 movies! I felt like a kid! What a treat! I have one more final tomorrow.#letsfuckinggo

I finished Slaughterhouse 5 today. It made me think about how: Evil and violence and terror, the ways that we try to cope, what to do when there's no way to cope, people who force you to keep going, people who leave you behind, the feeling when something Awful has happened to you and you won't ever be able to talk about it, the prayer that keeps coming back to Billy Pilgrim:

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the willingness to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the differrence.
Amen.

I went to see Martha today and she had the same prayer hung up on the wall. So it goes.
